Gallipoli, on the Ionic sea, is found on the western shore of the Salentine peninsula, in the Gulf of Taranto.
A characteristic of the city is its clear division in two parts:
the "old city " and the "new area ". The storic center is filled with antique contructions and is located on a calcium island connected to the mainland with a walled bridge.
Around the year 1500 the great perimiter walls were built, to withstand enemy attack, adjusted in height, towards the end of the 1800’s, to reach the current panoramic road, which encircles the whole island, allowing views of the fantastic scenery.
The apartment is located in Gallipoli, in Corso Roma, the primary road of the center, where you can find restaurants, bars and various shops. At roughly 150m you can find the bridge which leads to the storic center, where you can find the small beach of purity (the only beach in the center of Gallipoli); instead at roughly 1 km the various equipped lido’s of Gallipoli start.
The apartment is located on the fourth floor with an elevator in a 5 storeyed building. All services (bars, restaurants, shops) are within walking distance.
