Torre dell’Orso is a tourist location on the Adriatic, situated between San Cataldo and Otranto.
The beach of Torre Dell’Orso is formed by a large marvelous sandy beach between two cliffheads. A known characteristic of this area are two large cliffheads on the southern point which the inhabitants call "le due sorelle" (the two sisters) . The northern part of the bay is however protected by a watchtower, built during the times of the turkish aggressions.
To the north you can find, Roca, location which can be called pictoresque without exagerating, seen from a cultural and village point of view; in fact Roca is a prefered destination of scholars and Archeology students, not to miss is a visit to the necropolis and the grottos, used as habitations by primitive men; of particular interest is the Grotto of Poetry.
The apartment is located in the center of Torre Dell’ Orso in the residential complex "The Bridge", at a distance of roughly 200m from the pinetrees and beaches. At roughly 200m you can also find the pedestrian area with all services (bars, restaurant, supermarkets) and also tennis courts, soccer field, slides for children.
